Why the Resilience Project?
It's about bending not breaking. Resilience is the cornerstone of holistic health—it’s your ability to recover and thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally, even when faced with challenges. A resilient body and mind are in balance, supporting survival and true well-being. Holistic health practices such as mindfulness, nutrition, movement, and sleep restoration all build resilience, helping you feel grounded and empowered.

The Good Girl Health Tax
Society often asks women to carry the weight of being “good” at the expense of their health. The pressure to prioritize others, overachieve, and ignore personal needs can result in chronic stress, burnout, and physical health struggles.
Dive deeper into the ways this phenomenon impacts your well-being by listening to The Good Girl Health Tax episode. Learn how to break free from the cycle, reclaim your health, and live with resilience.
Poor Sleep is Holding You Back
Sleep is one of the most essential components of resilience, yet it’s one of the most neglected.
- 32.8% of adults—about one-third of the population—do not get enough sleep.
- 50–70 million people in the U.S. experience sleep disorders or disturbances.
- About 1 in 5 adults (20%) report feeling sleepy during the day.
For optimal health, adults need 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Poor sleep doesn’t just leave you feeling tired—it can:
- Negatively impact your mental health and cognitive function.
- Increase your risk of heart disease and diabetes.
- Reduce your lifespan by 4.7 years for women and 2.4 years for men.
The most common sleep disorders include insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome (RLS), and sleep apnea. Addressing poor sleep is a critical step in building resilience and supporting your overall health
Women and Autoimmunity: A Growing Concern
Autoimmune diseases affect approximately 8% of the population, and an overwhelming 78% of those affected are women. The reasons for this higher prevalence in women remain unclear, but evidence suggests a potential link between autoimmune diseases and preceding infections.
For many women, chronic stress, poor sleep, and unresolved trauma can compound the risk, placing additional strain on the immune system. A holistic approach to health—one that nurtures the nervous system, reduces stress, and prioritizes self-care—can be instrumental in managing autoimmune conditions and supporting overall resilience.
Increased resilience improves ADHD symptoms, Focus and Memory issues as well.
